2017 Poppy Campaign
Thanks to Yvon Gagnon, Nick Shypit and all the volunteers for another successful Poppy campaign. It generated $15000.00. Morin Heights area residents gathered on November 4, 2017 for Remembrance Day to show their respect for those who paid the ultimate price for freedom and those who have served our country. This year’s Remembrance Day ceremony was very well attended and the Morin Heights United Church was full to capacity. Thanks to the Acapella Choir aka “Legion Noise” for performing at the Church and at the Cenotaph. A huge parade comprised of war Veterans, Legion members, local residents and over 50 Royal Canadian Hussars marched to the Cenotaph. Thanks to all participants, many volunteers and especially organizers for making this year’s Remembrance Day a very special day.
Branch 171 70th Anniversary

For 70 years, Branch 171 has been an intricate part of the Morin Heights community. It was with great pride that we celebrated this important milestone last summer.
Branch 171 is getting ready to celebrate Canada's 150th anniversary

Preparations for Canada's 150th anniversary have already started. Come July 1st, our BBQ will be blazing, live music and dancing, special presentations and honorary guests will be in attendance. This should be a fun party for sure. Celebrate the 150th anniversary of Confederation by taking part in the festivities.
There are plenty of ways to get involved and celebrate all that makes us who we are as a country.
